NEOEN’s journey in Australia since 2012

The AFAS-Vic Committee is pleased to host a talk by Franck WOITIEZ, Managing Director – NEOEN Australia.

The presentation will cover NEOEN’s journey in Australia since 2012, the way it sees the renewable energy industry evolving, the great adventure of the largest battery in the world (at the time of its construction in 2017) and the future landscape of the industry in Australia.

Franck started his career in the telecommunication industry in France as a Business Unit Director. From 2005 to 2009, he created and developed several businesses in Portugal, notably in the real estate market.

In early 2009, he joined Louis Dreyfus Commodities in São Paulo (Brazil), in charge of the post-merger integration of the 2nd biggest renewable company in the world, LDC-SEV.

In late 2010, he joined NEOEN to create its Portuguese subsidiary and led the development of 4 solar projects. He was appointed Managing Director of NEOEN Australia when the subsidiary was opened in 2012, and settled in Sydney in 2013. Since then, Franck has successfully led and managed the development of more than $1.5bn investments in Solar, Wind and Storage projects in Australia, allowing NEOEN to own and operate close to 1GW of assets and being recognized as a prominent player in the Australian Renewable Energy landscape.

Franck holds a Master’s degree from EDC business school (Paris, France).
