AFAS Annual Dinner

For the AFAS Annual Dinner this year we returned to Chez Bob Restaurant,  22 Beatty Avenue, Armadale.

Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbly, accompanied by hors d'oeuvres, followed by the main meal consisting of choices from the following menu.

Starters

Terrine de Campagne – Country-style pâté
Salade de Légumes Marinés à la Niçoise – Salad of grilled vegetables with an olive-oil and lemon dressing
Emince de Thon Mi-cuit "Nouméa" – Seared tuna with coriander, ginger and lime dressing

Main Course

Confit de Canard aux Grillotines et Purée de Marrons – Duck confit with a cherry sauce and chestnut purée
Poisson du Jour Sauce Meunière – Grilled fish of the day with a lemon and parsley sauce
Carré d'Agneau à la Bretonne – Flinders-Island rack of lamb with haricot beans

Desserts

Tarte Tatin – Warm upside-down apple tart
Profiteroles Glacés Sauce Chocolat – Ice-cream profiteroles with chocolate sauce
Sorbet de Fruits – Scoops of apple and strawberry sorbet in a raspberry coulis

The meal was accompained by a Pinot d'Alsace white wine and a Côtes de Ventoux red, while dessert was followed by coffee.
